AUDITION POLICY:

Old Academy Players casts from its membership but often has open auditions for particular shows. These auditions are open to members and to non-members. Their dates and times will appear on this site.

AUDITIONS FOR AN EMPTY PLATE IN THE CAFE DE GRAND BOEUF

Auditions (OA Members only) will be held on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010, at 7:30pm at the Old Academy for the comedy An Empty Plate in the Cafe de Grand Boeuf by Michael Hollinger. Director Bill Peterson seeks four men and one woman for this January 2011 production. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Characters are as follows:

VICTOR -- Perhaps fifty, Ideally, but not necessarily. A big bull of a man.

CLAUDE -- Headwaiter. Late thirties to early forties.

MIMI -- Waitress, thirties, or younger. Claude's wife.

GASTON --Chef, forties.

ANTOINE -- Waiter in training. Very young must be able to play a musical instrument not very well, preferable one that is not usually a strolling instrument.

NOTE: The part of "Miss Berger" will be played by one of the Producers. It is very small.
