Sandy: Chris Cutrufello

Chris most recently played Sandy in the August 2009 One Act Play Showcase. Chris has previously been seen on the Old Academy stage performing in Nunsense, Our Town and I Remember Mama. She's thrilled to be back and wishes to thank Nancy Frick for once again giving her the opportunity to work with a wonderful script and this very talented cast and crew. Chris would also like to thank her sons who are always encouraging her to meet new challenges.

Vanessa: Nancy Bennett

Nancy is thrilled to return to the Old Academy stage in Four Weddings and an Elvis. Some of Nancy's favorite roles include: Mother in After the Fall, Kay in Exit Date (at OAP), Charlotte in Last Dance, for the Philly Fringe Festival, Amanda in The Glass Menagerie (OAP), M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Ouisa in Six Degrees of Separation, Kate Keller in The Miracle Worker (OAP), Maxine, in 84 Charring Cross Road, and most recently, multiple characters in The Dining Room. It is my pleasure to be back in this welcoming theater, and to work with Nancy again in this hilarious production.

Bryce: Michael Gavanus

Michael last appeared on the Old Academy Stage in last spring's comedy You Can't Take It With You. Other OA appearances include Almost Maine, Bad Seed, Here On The Flight Path, the great role of Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Mousetrap, The Boys Next Door, Exit Date, Night Watch and For Goodness Sake. He also appeared at Hatboro Village Players as the villain in Tantalus and in several other productions. Mike is fortunate to be working again with his wife Nancy in a play that was inspired by their wedding. Viva Las Vegas, Nancy!

Lou: J.P. Parrella

JP is one of Old Academy's hardest working members. His directorial efforts have included the hilarious Bermuda Avenue Triangle, The Rose Tattoo, Over the River and Through the Woods, The Glass Menagerie and A Funny Thing Happened. As an actor, he has made us laugh with performances in Smash, Black Comedy, Barefoot in the Park, Charlie's Aunt, The Boys Next Door and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. He turned in a rare dramatic performance in To Kill a Mockingbird. He has played Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof many times. For the last eight seasons J. P. has masterminded our popular holiday revues and is delighted to do it again this year with Music Director, Don Kawash.

Marvin: Norman Burnosky.

Norman is making his second appearance at Old Academy after making his OA debut in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Elsewhere he has appeared in You Can't Take it With You, The Sound of Music, and West Side Story. Norman is currently pursuing a second degree as a Theatre major at CCP. When not working on acting projects or other activities, he works as a Detective in the Philadelphia Police Department. Norman is ecstatic to be working with Nancy Frick and such a great cast. Norman would like to thank his family, friends and co-workers for their tremendous support.

Fiona: Brianna Tillo

Brianna performed Sophie's Choice in HS for the Forensics Speech and Debate Team and placed 4th in the country for Dramatic Performance. After high school she became an actress for the US Army. There she would act out scenarios that the soldiers might experience after being deployed to Iraq. She performed in the hit show Tony N Tina's Wedding at Showboat in AC. Recently, she was in a music video Stay With Me by the band "Bring Back All". When not performing you can see Brianna working for the Phillies as a Phanstormer at Citizens Bank Park.

Fist: Tom Owen

Tom is making his second appearance at Old Academy, the first being a minor role in 2003's For Goodness Sake. He has previously helped Nancy with artwork for stage design, but this time he is excited about helping the story unfold on stage. Art Direction and visual graphics keep his mind busy by day, but during down-time he finds it best to "unplug" and get outside. Tom thanks Nancy for her creativity, and confidence in affording this opportunity. Thanks as well go to all cast members. Special thanks go to his wife Lori for her support, and for putting up with his "Fist-ness".

Stan: Joseph Carney

Joe is delighted to return to the OAP stage and especially pleased to be part of an original work. His previous performances here have been in productions of the Neil Simon plays The Dinner Party and Fools, Yasmina Reza's Art and the Rick Abbot comedy Play On which was Joe's first opportunity to work with director Nancy Frick. He has appeared in several stage productions outside of OAP but always enjoys returning to this welcoming environment. Joe is honored to be part of such a talented ensemble and would like to thank his wife Sandra for her love and support.

Bev: Bonnie Kapenstein

Bonnie has been in three other Nancy Frick plays, was in our One Act Festival this past summer and, in 10 years, has been on our stage in two musicals & ten plays, including The Bad Seed, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Constant Wife, An Act of the Imagination and The Quick Fix. Favorite roles include Lola in Theatre District (Allens Lane Theatre), Lee in Marvin's Room (Bridge Players), Sheila, in Jake's Women (Stagecrafters), Charlotte in Moon Over the Buffalo & Sarah in Beau Jest (Colonial Playhouse), Maddie, in Desperate Affection, and Waverly, in Recent Tragic Events (Langhorne Players), and Sheila in The Quick Fix (Barnstormers).

Elvis: Michael Boorse

Michael is making his ninth appearance in an Old Academy regular season production. Previous roles have included the comical Pseudolous in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, the scheming Jack Chesney in Charley's Aunt, the brooding Deke Winters in Minor Demons, and the forceful Sergeant Trotter in The Mousetrap. In addition to his lead roles in Barefoot in the Park, Smash, Art, and Over the River and Through the Woods, he has appeared outside of Old Academy in South Pacific, Anything Goes, and Grease.

: Mark Reichert

Mark was exposed to the Creative and Performing Arts at a very early age. His parents are avid theater goers, and he started going to plays as a boy and writing and directing his own home movies. It's taken awhile to actually get him on stage, but Mark is now glad to be personally involved in theater. You may remember him in his first role last season as one of the G-men in You Can't Take It With You. Mark is an active member of Old Academy, volunteering wherever needed. He’s glad to be on board and we're glad to have him.

Director: Nancy Frick

Nancy knew that after she and husband Mike Gavanus got married in Las Vegas, she would one day write a play about it. No, they weren't married by Elvis, but hopefully this play captures the wonderful spirit of that day. Nancy's last directing endeavor was last season's You Can't Take It With You. She has written a number of plays that have premiered at the Old Academy and gone on to have success at other local theaters. Her play, Exit Date, will be produced in May at Bridge Players Theater Co in Burlington, NJ.
